Volunteer Positions Needed: PAs welcome
It's time for moms to hit the malls, go out for lunch or maybe enjoy a spa day. Older Girl Scouts will run try-its for your Brownies and fun tag activities for your younger children. Brownies will have the opportunity to earn several try-its. Me and My Shadow, Let's Pretend, Movers and Playing Around the World will all be offered. We'll provide lunch, the activities and all the fun. This is a "drop off" event, moms can register their children without their troop. Run by GS Troop 577.

Please note: Winterfest patches will be available for pre-order through the Santa Clara County office at $2.00 each. They will be available for sale on site while supplies last. There will be a Winterfest Orientation for adults from all troops who want to run a booth on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007 from 7:00PM-8:30PM at the Santa Clara County Office in San Jose. *You must fill out a separate registration form if you want to run a booth. Look for them in the fall on the web site, www.girlscoutsofscc.org.

Celebrate the holiday season with an incredible variety of crafts, activities, and shopping offered by Older Girl Scout troops. Make your own room decorations, jewelry, and fun crafts. Get your face painted, play games, win prizes, and shop for inexpensive holiday gifts ALL UNDER ONE ROOF! For one low price, you get over 70 activities and games plus the opportunity to shop for the holidays. Junior troops are invited to run activity booths; Cadette and Senior troops are invited to run shopping mall and activity booths.*
A weeklong food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank wraps up at this event.

Take the mall by storm! Learn how far your money will go, search the mall for the answers to your consumer questions. This badge workshop is set-up as a scavenger hunt. 8th-11th grade Girl Scouts will help you find your answers. Wear comfortable shoes, clothes and your Girl Scout sash or vest.

Volunteer Positions Needed: Adults are needed to help with the Gold & Silver Requirements and in the evening to meet the girl/adult ratio - please contact Cathleen 524-9214.
Earn as many of the Gold and Silver Requirements as you can in 24 hours! Girls will decide how much they want to accomplish. Start with the Gold or Silver Training on-site and then begin completing the Steps to earn the Gold & Silver Awards. We will have IP workshops (4 hrs each) including Your Own Business, Focus Book workshops (2 hours each) including, Uniquely Me the Real Deal and Looking In, Reaching Out and we will work on the Silver Career Award and the 4B Challenges. There will always be 2-3 options for recognitions girls need to earn! Girls can stay up all night if they want to in the 'up all night area', but there will be no formal workshops from 1:00AM-8:00AM.
University of Sports Team Challenge Try-it Adapt - Improvise - Overcome

Earn the Council's Own Team Challenge Try-it that has been created for us by the University of Sports! Their philosophy is that activities need to be fun and help you get fit! Girls will participate in several challenges to develop the ability to work as a team to reach a common goal. Girls will learn the benefits of teamwork and ability to overcome obstacles.

How long has it been since you had a strike? Take the troop or the family for a couple of fun hours bowling. All ages are welcome. Everyone bowling will need to pay. Fee includes shoe rental (or wear your own tennis shoes), two games of bowling, a patch and a lot of fun.
TAGS are welcome, please include them on your registration.
