The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award an 11-14 year old Girl Scout can earn. It symbolizes accomplishments in Girl Scouting and community activities. Both girls and advisors are strongly encouraged to attend this training. It is highly recommended that Studio 2B Awards, Recognitions and Destinations be taken prior to this training.
Go for the Gold - Part 1 Girl Scout Gold Award Training
Who: Girls grades 9-12

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award in Girl Scouting; it recognizes the leadership, effort, and impact 14-18 year old girls have on their communities. With only five percent of girls actually earning the prestigious award, you are special in your quest to Go for the Gold!
Find out what it takes at this part one of two, mandatory training for girls who want to earn the Girl Scout Gold Award. Learn the prerequisite steps, how to complete them in a timely manner, and understand how special the Gold Award is. This training should be taken by your 10th grade year.
PLEASE NOTE: Go for the Gold Parts I and II may not be taken back-to-back
Go for the Gold - Part 2 Girl Scout Gold Award Training

When you've finished your pre-requisites, return for the mandatory second part of the Go For The Gold training. This must be taken within one year of your project start date. You will learn about deadlines, paperwork, and other crucial points. Gold Award Proposals will not be accepted without this training.

Program Aide Training Basic, LIT(Leader in Training), Outdoor Cooking and Outdoor Skills
Who: Girls grades 7-12, must be 12 years or older. LIT/Grade 10+

Cost: $25 per girl

Please note: Please use the Program Aide Registration Form available at www.konoctigirlscouts.org For PA Training, girls are required to register individually. Each girl must complete her own form. Troops may send multiple forms with one check. Adults do not need to attend. You may also register online through the Older Girl Training.
Volunteer Positions Needed: Adults are needed to help with the trainings and in the evening to deliver lunches. Please contact Becky 524-9211 or bgentry@konoctigirlscouts.org.
Program Aide (PA) Training is for 7th-12th grade girls who want to learn to work with younger children and help out at program events. Girls receive the PA Pin after the training and the PA Patch after 25 hrs of service. You will also receive a Fun Patch for the back of your vest and a rocker for each advanced training.
Basic PA Training: All girls must take Basic Training the first time they attend a PA Training. Learn about the ages and stages of girls, communication, games, songs, the role of a PA and lots more. The June training is one day only.
Advanced PA Training: After completing Basic Training, girls are encouraged to return for advanced training. The advanced trainings give you tools and techniques to work with younger children in specific program areas such as arts & crafts, nature, pluralism, theater etc.
Leader In Training (LIT) This training is for Senior Girl Scouts in grade 10 & up who want to be assistant troop leaders. Earn the LIT Pin and help run a troop next year!
Trainings offered in June: Basic, LIT(Leader in Training), Outdoor Cooking and Outdoor Skills.

Combining Girl Scout values with the skills of soccer is the focus of this clinic. Each day girls will concentrate on learning a value from the Girl Scout law that will benefit her as she pursues her interest in sports and in her life. High school soccer players, under the direction of a professional coach, will direct the girls in skills and values. Girls will also enjoy songs, Girl Scout traditions and crafts! Girls Kick!!
