Pediatric Plus Cost: $20.00
Appropriate for: Troop volunteers, leaders, assistant leaders and advisors who plan to take girls beyond the troop meeting place
It is the leader’s responsibility to ensure that First Aiders accompany girls when necessary as indicated in Safety-Wise. Safety-Wise states “While First Aiders may not be required for regular troop meetings and activities not requiring physical exertion, they are needed for physically demanding activities or other activities involving a potential for injury.” Any registered adult may be the troop’s First Aider. Adults can also take advantage of the First Aid trainings offered by local chapters of the American Red Cross, the National Safety Council, or Medic First Aid. See pages 36 and 37 of Safety-Wise for complete information. Bring a sack lunch and a large towel. |

Medic First Aid Level One and Pediatric CPR Challenge Cost: $20.00
This is designed for the experienced CPR participant. A written knowledge review and scenario test-out on manikins is mandatory. No guidance will be offered. If you fail the challenge you must then participate in a CPR class. |
