Girl Scouts of Konocti Council commends these outstanding efforts that resulted in community awards:
Longtime Girl Scout Leader Dianne Hodges was awarded a Santa Rosa City Council Merit Award for her outstanding commitment to girls on October 24, 2005.
Helen Cortopassi was honored as the Girl Scouts of Konocti Council Honored Volunteer by the Sonoma County Volunteer Center for her outstanding leadership as director of Kamp Konocti.
Girl Scouts of Konocti Council received awards at the Luther Burbank Rose Parade in Santa Rosa. For the third year the girls received First Place for a Costume Marching Youth Group. The beauty found in nature, plus hard work from our volunteers, helped us win the Best Use of Roses 2005 trophy.
Girl Scouts of Konocti Council won the Centipede with Most Legs contest for the fourth straight year at the Volunteer Center's Human Race. The award came with a monetary prize of $100.
